Centre-back who signed from Barking & East Ham United. Showed an extra string to his bow when deputising in goal - having been a goalkeeper as a junior at Leyton Orient - for the injured Robin Ruston against Burnham Ramblers, compensating for giving away an early goal by setting up a late equaliser for Kevin Clark with a long clearance. Set up several more goals with excellent distribution from the back. Injuries mid-season looked like keeping him out long-term, but returned to fitness. Lost his place in the starting line-up for the Gordon Brasted Memorial Trophy Final, having missed the previous match due to working away. Featured in 2004 pre-season while waiting for a knee operation, then broke his foot in the autumn making a comeback with the reserves, which was to keep him out for the rest of the season. Further fitness problems kept him out of Senior football for the whole of the following season and most of the one after that, finally returning to the first team in March 2007 - nearly three years after his previous competitive appearance.
