Powerful midfielder described by previous club Wembley as ‘a wonderfully talented enigma’. Became known as ‘H’, partly because it was easier to pronounce but also because people confused him with Hilary Francis, whose nickname it actually was, during pre-season. Main problem was a tendency to hold on to the ball too long and, after beating four players, wanting to beat them all again. Seemed to benefit from a trial at Colchester United but struggled to reproduce his away form on the wacky Sungate pitch, only scoring once at home. Left Boro to try his luck elsewhere but, after several failed trials, re-joined John Goodwin at Bishops Stortford. Later played against Boro for Barking & East Ham United in the 2005 pre-season, then became The New Gus Caesar soon afterwards having supposedly re-joined Romford, even being named as sub on one occasion but failing ever to show up for a game.
