Mini Ditty Bag.


This bag was made as an exercise to see how small I could make a working Ditty bag.

The body of the bag is made from 12oz Cotton Duck, and is  115mm x 75mm. The same size as a can of soup.

The grip is of Cotton and Flax and contains Crowning, Star Knots, Mathew Walker knots and a figure 8, 3 strand plat on the loop,

The slider knot is a Turk's Head knot, and the legs are spliced into stitched over, tiny, hand laid hemp grommets.

Mini Ditty Bag.


This bag was made for Des & Liz Pawson of
Footrope Knots.

After seeing my Mini Ditty bag (pictured above) at the 25th anniversary of the International Guild of Knot Tyers in Fareham 2007 they commissioned me to make them one just like it.

The details for this bag are identical to the Mini Ditty Above.


Standard Riggers Bucket.


The body of the bag is made from 12oz Cotton Duck, and is  235mm x 180mm.

The bag has a solid Mahogany bottom fastened with traditional copper nails, on topof the base a layer of cork to protsect it from sharp tools, a Manila grommet, stitched into the top edge of the bag helps to keep it open.

The handle of the bag is Manila, spliced into hand stitched, Hemp grommet eyelets, the toggle on the top of the handle is of Beech wood, and all of the splices are served with tarred Marline,
