Therapy and SessionsBy attending a regular relaxation and meditation session (either an individual or group session) can develop your sense of calm, peace, and focus in your daily life. Many people appreciate the chance to 'unwind and relax' by attending such sessions. A relaxation and meditation therapy session typically lasts for one hour during which time you are asked what your needs are for that session, guided through relaxation and meditation techniques, invited to discuss your experience and what you would like the next sessions' aims and objectives to be. If you are interested in attending either an individual or group relaxation and meditation therapy session you can contact me using any of the details listed at the bottom of this page. Courses The objective of the relaxation and meditation courses with Rowanfearn are to teach students skills and techniques and facilitate their understanding of how they could each implement their knowledge in their daily lives. The aim is to facilitate a students development in relaxation and meditation that would enable them to live more peacefully, bring a sense of calm into their lives, improve their self awareness and increase their awareness and experience of their environment. Thus, the relaxation and meditation courses at Rowanfearn provide students with a set of skills and techniques which they can utilise in their daily lives to improve their quality of life! "I shall now approach my life with new eyes!" (this is a statement I recall being made by a previous student on one of my courses). The 10 week training course On a 10 week training course students learn a range of techniques from basic relaxation skills to advanced meditation practices. An interactive approach to learning is encouraged with sessions taking the structure of teaching, practice and discussion. Within each one hour session students learn how to apply the skills learned in that session at work or at home. Handouts are provided on the course so aid students' practice at home and/or at work. The 1 day training course The one day relaxation training course is an intense course aimed at guiding students through the content of the 10 week training course in just one day! This is an excellent option if you are unable to travel or attend a course on a weekly basis. The one day course is also ideal if you would like to run the course as part of employee development increasing wellbeing in the workplace (which is currently a local government objective). The one day course runs from 9am to 5pm, with breaks to include personal care and lunch. If you would like further information about either the 10 week, or the one day course, you can contact me using any of the details listed at the bottom of this page.
