Welcome to Rowanfearn! My name is Claire Dodson (BSc, MSc). For many years, I have been committed to developing a quality holistic approach to health and wellbeing. I am qualified in and have developed the following services; a series of therapy sessions; group workshops; and home, holiday and corporate packages. Continuing professional development and adopting an evidence based approach are very important to me and guide my practice. Along with continually gaining further qualifications, I aim to produce an evidence base of clinical efficacy for the services that I offer. Oak Integrated Health Practice All the therapists working from Oak are committed to the following aims: · To provide affordable complementary therapy and allied health services through self and GP referral · To develop an integrated health service in conjunction with PCTs and GPs · To provide GPs with information to enable them to refer patients for the most appropriate treatment plan with the relevant complementary therapist(s) or allied health professional(s) · To increase the awareness of and accessibility to complementary therapy and allied health services in the local community including those groups normally excluded due to financial and other constraints e.g. retired, single income families, unwaged, learning disabled, and those with mental health problems (Oak leaflet, Jan 2007).
