6233 was built at Crewe in July 1938 for the L.M.S. After withdrawal in February 1964 from Edge Hill MPD this locomotive was partly restored by Butlins
and displayed at their 'Heads of Ayr' holiday camp until 1971 when it was moved to Bressingham steam museum
where it remained until purchased by The Princess Royal Class Locomotive Trust in 1996.
