K4 2-6-0 No. 61994 'The Great Marquess' at Grosmont in September 2007. Built in July 1938, this locomotive was finally withdrawn from British Railways stock in December 1961 when it was purchased by Viscount Garnock for use on a number of railtours until the 1968 ban on steam on the National Network brought this activity to a temporary end.
