Loch Lomond was the first trip I took with my Mom and Aunt. We took the train to Ballach (on the shores of the loch) in the afternoon and took a taxi to Dumbain Farm. It was fabulous. My Mom and I had a huge two story room in the refurbished grainery with thick wooden roof beams and a great atmosphere. The room also came with a small kitchen and when the B&B owner heard we were going to eat in, she brought us fresh bread and butter, apples, cheese, oat cakes, and shortbread. Add in a bit of tea, and it was a meal fit for a king.

The next morning they gave us a ride down to the Loch Lomond Shores where there is a brand new -- including a a tall viewing tower and IMAX film about the song "The Bonnie Bonnie Banks O' Loch Lomond" which came from the Jacobite rebellion.
