My new flat is in a very nice area of Glasgow called Hyndland and is in an old sandstone building. We have one of the two 'first floor' flats, which with an American translation mean that we are on the second floor. It is a two bedroom flat with a very nice bath and a large kitchen with the stainless steel appliences I have always wanted.

My bedroom is not overly large, especially when you consider that there is no closet so I have a wardrobe and dresser taking up space. Thankfully, there are many other closets and storage spots around the flat so I kind of spread out all over with my stuff. The lounge, or front room is very big with a huge corner bay window and a fireplace (purely decoration now). In total there are three fireplaces in the flat which gives us lots of mantels to decorate. Everything is fully furnished complete with dishes, towels, bedding, TV, and Bose Wave stereo.

I am living with my flatmate from last year, Debbie, who is also a vet student. She is originally from Edmonton, Canada, but has spent the last few years in California.
