The school year is still divided into three terms at the vet school although the main university has changed to two terms.  Therefore, much of the term information from the university doesn't apply and you need to make sure you are using Vet School dates.  The first term (Martinmas term) lasts 12 weeks, including exam week, and usually runs from the last week in September till around the middle of December.  The second term (Candlemas term) is shorter and lasts 9 weeks running from mid January to mid March.  The third term (Whitson term) is also 9 weeks and runs mid April to the first week in June.  Christmas break is three weeks and Easter break is always four weeks long.
