Jaami Primary School

At the beginning of 2013 we will be starting the construction of 4 new teachers’ houses, thanks to the support of Zurich Community Trust.  Once complete then all the teachers’ will live on site which gives them more teaching time and provides greater security at the school.

We will also be constructing 4 new teachers’ latrines and 2 teachers’ washrooms thanks to funds raised and donated by The Ultimate Travel Company (www.theultimatetravelcompany.co.uk) 

The school has a severe shortage of textbooks, which makes learning difficult and so, if possible, we would like to be able to donate £1000 of textbooks in the near future.

Should funds become available we would also like to donate a 20,000 litre water tank to be attached to the teachers’ houses.  This would mean that they would have water for washing, cooking, drinking and hygiene. A staffroom added to the two classroom block is something else that is needed at this school
