Showstarters is husband-and-wife team, Richard and Joanna Woodberry. Richard specialises in the musical side of things – writing original songs as well as finding and arranging suitable well-known favourites to complete the show. Joanna builds the characters, story and script that hold the musical numbers together and turn them into a production which really involves the audience in the events unfolding on stage.

Richard has a strong musical background, playing many instruments throughout his school career and beyond! He has worked as Musical Director for youth theatres, played in countless orchestras for many musical shows, and is currently conductor for a junior wind band.

Joanna has years of experience in amateur dramatics societies - performing, directing and writing. Her strong academic background helps with thorough research and focused writing leading to the polished finished script.

Richard and Joanna work closely together to ensure that music and words complement each other, creating a carefully crafted framework for directors and casts to build upon, leading to a thoroughly entertaining and satisfying theatrical experience!
