What is a custom creation?
Whether it's altering costumes or making something from scratch, I like to
sew. Is there anything I can do for you? Have a think - let me know.
Not all of us a standard shapes,
and certainly the Middle Eastern costume market doesn't cater much for larger
ladies. If you are finding your costume choices are limited, then having
something made is probably a good option for you.
Of course, you don't have to be
too short or to wide to have stuff made, you can have things custom designed so
they are exactly how you choose them to be. Moreover, you can dance
in your costume knowing that there is not another one like it..

Cutom makes often begin with a sketch or design that I float on the website or Facebook If someone likes the style we discuss how to make it really 'them' |

Alternatviely it can be fabric that startsthedesign process. Anne Kingston found this green circles fablric in a shop when we were having a costuming day. She set her heart of having something made from it. The galabeya 'Bubbles' was the result. |

i discuss the styles and design (usually via email) and when i think the design is settled, i send the client a final sketch with an outline budget. More often the client sets a limit and I come up with a design that will work within that budget. when it's agreed I go shopping then start cutting out! |

Once I have a 'draft' version of the outfit I send it to the client to be pinned for a better fit (this usually requires help from a partner or friend). Although I only work from a set of measurements and maybe a photo, the first fit is surprisingly good. |

Once the dress is posted back to me, I get on and finish it and then add the decoration. I don't do hand beading - you really have to go t oEgypt (or Shimmy Shop) for that - but I cram as much bling on as I can in time-saving (money-saving) ways. However, this dress was made using Egyptian fringing with each tassle hand-knotted in place. |
