   Whether it's altering costumes or making something from scratch, I like to sew.  Is there anything I can do for you?  Have a think - let me know.

Julie's Dress - an example of how Custom Sewing  works:

We started off by discussing what Julie wanted.  It took a few emails to ensure we were talking about the same things!  We established a budget/limit.

 I sent her some pictures of fabric I had to see if she liked it.  she did!

I went shopping for more trimming and beads to go with it.

I  cut out the dress, sewed it together in a basic way and then mocked-up the proposed design.  I took photos and emailed these for general approval.  She liked it - green light to go ahead for real.

  I sent Julie the undecorated 'draft' dress through the post, with instructions on how to pin it for fit.

She got her hubby to pin if for a better fit.  However, even though I've never met her, and only had a set of measurements to work from, it wasn't a bad first try.

Julie sent it back through the post and I got on and neatened the basic dress and then decorated and trimmed it.

 

A few days later it was aback in the post and ready for Julie to try on for a final fit. 

She loved it, it was grand!  (She had a great birthday party too!)
