When the Trust was raising money to buy Coed Craig Ruperra, the Friends ran a 'Sponsor-a-tree' scheme. The names of the sponsors can be seen on the interpretation board by the Friends' Cabin. Now, there is a 'Sponsor-a-bird box ' scheme to encourage more birds to nest in Coed Ruperra now that most of the mature trees are felled.

Friends also attend as many local fairs and exhibitions as possible selling merchandise and publicising their work. They sell books, notelets, teatowels and mugs. Trustees and Friends are pleased to give talks to any groups that want to know about Ruperra and support it.
