We went to The New Victoria Theatre to watch The Mikado which is based upon an original concept by Chris Monks. Chris has directed a trilogy of G&S operettas - each of which has a modern setting.
On the evening of the 5th of October 2000 we went to see HMS Pinafore at the Regent Theatre in Stoke - front row of the Dress Circle - in the centre!!
A suggestion for those wishing to attend the Regent - they have many special offers which are not always obvious - if you book very early you get an early booking discount of £2. If you are in the Britannia Building Society (one of the sponsors) then you get a £5 discount. - We saved £7per ticket!! You can also get £2 discounts for pensioners, UB40s, students, etc.
