1. ALWAYS
bow when entering or leaving the Dojang (the place where you train).
2.
When doing floor techniques, be it basics or patterns, ALWAYS
hold your position until told to relax or move by the Instructor.
3.
NO
unnecessary talking within the Dojang, especially during the lesson.
4.
ONLY
speak to an Instructor when spoken too, especially during the lesson.
5.
Instructors should be addressed as “SIR” and not by
name.
6.
When speaking to an Instructor you should ALWAYS bow
before you start and bow when the conversation is completed.
7.
You
MUST make your Instructor aware of any medical condition you may
have that might cause you further injury or
your well being to deteriorate due to any of the exercises or techniques
used within TaeKwon-MuDo. Anything said would be held in the strictest
confidence.
8.
If you have a problem or want to ask a question, then you should
remain in your position, raise your hand and wait to be asked.
9.
NO
eating or drinking is allowed in the Dojang unless specified by the chief
Instructors.
10.
At NO time should you wander off without permission
to go to the toilet, have a drink or for any other reason. (Doing this is
disrespectful and also dangerous!)
11.
ALWAYS
be on time unless you have a valid reason for being late (Missing your
chief Instructors warm up is NOT a valid reason). If you are
late, WAIT until your Instructor invites you onto the floor
rather than just joining in.
12.
NEVER
question an Instructors methods or instructions during class or in front
of other students.
13.
You should ALWAYS train in uniform unless specified
by the chief Instructors. If you are out of uniform you should line up at
the back unless specified by the chief Instructors.
14.
ALWAYS
be courteous and respectful to your senior grades (especially to
Instructors) regardless of age, sex or the length of time they’ve been
practicing TaeKwon-MuDo.
15.
Sparring is an exercise, NOT a free for all fight.
Senior grades should help lower ranks and not treat them as cannon fodder.
16.
Junior grades should spar with CAUTION as they may
cause injury to themselves and others due to lack of control / timing &
skill.
17.
Training shoes should ONLY be worn due to medical
reasons or unless arranged before hand with your chief Instructors.
18.
If you have a problem with anyone within the class (like excessive
force while sparring) DO NOT take matters into your own
hands, you should immediately inform the chief Instructors at the end of
the lesson who’ll look into the matter and take any necessary action.
19.
TaeKwon-MuDo is the martial art being taught, so regardless of what
other styles you may have learnt and level you attained in them, do as
your Instructor or senior grade instructs. (The class is NOT
for you to practice other styles or pit other styles against TaeKwon-MuDo).
20.
ALL
jewellery (ear rings, chains, watches, piercing’s etc.) must be removed
before the training session starts.
21.
TURN OFF
all mobile phones before the class begins.
22.
ALWAYS
try your best at everything and not just at the aspects you enjoy or are
good at.
