These techniques are described in beautifully illustrated manuscripts and books which were produced from the early middle ages to the present day.
Cut and Thrust, The Schoole of Defence was formed in 1998 to study these techniques and demonstrate them to a wider audience.
We have provided demonstrations, displays, research, lectures and studies for English Heritage, BBC TV and Radio, Oxford University, The Wallace Collection, National Trust and many others.
