Hilary's group snap
The Ladies' Group, comprising mainly pupils that left Chandos circa 1971, has been meeting annually for about fifteen years. Re-unions are usually lunch-time events held in the Dunstable area. But for their 40th Anniversary the group decided to celebrate with a buffet and dance at Luton's 'Chiltern Hotel'.
The party was organised by past pupils Lynn and Sharon. Live music was provided by Jane's husband's trio and Carol - of choir fame - even gave us some vocal renditions of songs from the '70s.
Several attendees opted to stay overnight at the hotel and extend their celebrations.
The success of the event may lead to next year's anniversary, probably held in mid-May in the Dunstable area, being open to a broader church… possibly.
A photo album, comprising more than forty uploaded images from the re-union, has been created. It's a private album, but Lynn will divulge the URL and password to ex-Chandos pupils that contact her through 'chandosreunion@gmail.com' (without the quotes).
