At the Scrumpies Party you saw Bob received his 10 year VSOC patch and he made the effort to get to the Party by coming in his three wheeled Messerschmitt. The Party Committee felt that in some small way his efforts in getting to the Party when he was so ill should be rewarded. For this reason they gave him the - “Most unusual trike at the party” – award.

Vice summed up Bob with these words - Courage, Commitment, Humour and above all the one thing that we all seek within the Scrumpies, unwavering Camaraderie.

Someone like this should not be forgotten. If you were at the AGM in October you would know that the Scrumpies have decided to set up the Bob Millar Memorial Trophy. Bob’s son has kindly given back to the Scrumpies the award given to Bob at the Party. This has been mounted and becomes the annual trophy.

How do you get a chance to win the award? Easy – all you have to do is attend Scrumpies events and enjoy yourself. Then write about it so it can appear on the Scrumpies website. At the end of the year a winner will be chosen from all the write-up’s. This will be an annual Trophy presented at the AGM each year.

If you don’t want to write it by yourself, then write it with someone else. If you want to supply the photos and someone else the words, then that’s not a problem. Just put both names at the bottom of the write-up so you have a chance of jointly winning the Trophy. If you can only write it by hand and need help typing it up so it can be forwarded to Mark, then there is always help at hand. It does not matter if we get more than one write up for each event as people have their own views and no two write-up’s will be the same.

So, by going to Scrumpies events you get a chance to have a great time with your friends. You can also get to hold the Bob Millar Memorial Trophy for one year, thereby letting his name live on.
