South Cumbria Sea Sports
Association was formed in March 1982 with initial funds of £470 coming from the
failed Haverigg Boating Association.
The 1st meeting was held on
Saturday, 13th March 1982 in the Miners Arms, Silecroft when the
first Committee of Frank Eccles (Chairman), Noel Moore (Secretary), G Wilson
(Treasurer), Joe Brown, Ian Clarke, A Date, R Edmondson, J Walsh & Brian
Steele was appointed.
The 1st Committee Meeting was held on Wednesday, 17th March 1982 in the Peel Hotel, Millom.
The 1st AGM was held on Friday,
16th April 1982 in the Peel Hotel, Millom.
The Committee currently meets in
Millom RLFC Clubhouse on the first Thursday of the month over the Summer (May -
October) and
first Friday over the Winter (November - April).
