Although these were solo albums, Paul had the help of a number of other well known musicians in the making of these recordings.
Both Steve Knightley and Phil Beer played on "Still Life".  Steve's song writing features on both albums, with some familiar and some not-so-familiar compositions e.g.  "Same Old Friends" (P.Downes/P.Beer/S.Knightley),
"Some Words" and "Puss in Boots" (S.Knightley). None of the three mentioned appear in either of Steve's songbooks.

It should be stressed that these are acoustic heritage recordings. To preserve  authenticity, no remastering or remixing whatsoever has been attempted. While every effort has been made to compile the CD from the best sources available, certain minor imperfections may be discernable.

Paul has given his kind permission and support for this project, which was initiated following discussions in autumn 2001 on the Longdogs list.  Paul has given his whole hearted support to this project, he receives no money from the sale of this CD.

Paul's generous contribution to this project has enabled donations to be given to Children's Hospice South West totalling

£1500
