Acupuncture is based on the principles of Yin and Yang, the five elements, the cycles of nature and the unity of body, mind and spirit. With these fundamental principles in mind, the skilled acupuncturist will help you to recover your vitality, become more relaxed and to improve your well-being.
What Is Qi?
Qi (also known as Chi, Ki or Prana) is the life force that drives us and all living things. It flows around us in energy channels (or meridians), and when these get blocked we often feel emotional or physical pain. In short, we are not at our best. It is the job of the acupuncturist to unblock this, and to restore normal balance.
Balanced Qi = balanced health.
Will I Stay Balanced?
We all have factors that affect our well-being, for example workplace stress, energy levels, personality, the weather. These are very individual and so after a course of treatment some people will remain healthy for a long time, whilst others will require top-up treatments from time to time.
To maintain optimum health, we recommend a top-up treatment at the change of each season.
