Summary
Daniel experiences strange dreams centered around his possible knowledge of the Lost
City of the Ancients. Suspicious that Daniel's mind is being manipulated against his will,
O'Neill, Carter and Teal'c must find a way to help him while keeping the secret from
possibly falling into the hands of the Goa'uld.

Previously on…. includes scenes of Sarah from The Curse as herself and then as
Osiris. Sam talking to Jacob and Jack from Grace. A clip from Full Circle where Daniel is
telling Jonas about the Lost City and a briefing room scene where Daniel's explaining
about it, was too quick for me to catch which episode that was from.
We see Daniel talking into a handheld recorder he's doing some sort of research in a
room full of books and artefacts. Ah it's in the past as Sarah's there. But wait it's not
real, Daniel is really lying on his bed, in a white vest similar to what we saw in
Evolution. Attached to his head is a Tok'ra style memory device. Someone leans forward
from the shadows, it's Osiris and she too is wearing a device!

Sam is in civilian clothes, looking very pretty; she sits down at a table in a
restaurant and a man approaches her. He asks if the seat is free and they flirt, she jokes
that she's should be careful as all her boyfriends tend to die! It's soon clear that they
already know each other, his name is Pete and he's a cop, they kiss. Pete tries to
persuade her to take a sickie, go to the Zoo or something she says there are no Zoos in
Colorado Springs! He can't understand what could be so important about her deep space
telemetry job.
At the base as Sam and Daniel walk the corridors, she's telling him some sort of
technobabble and he's yawning, she jokes about at least pretending to listen and he
explains that he'd dreamt about Sarah.
They reach the lift; Jack is there. As the lift moves, Sam hums! The Stargate theme
tune!
Jack notices, "What's his name?"
Sam explains that it's not serious; his name's Pete and he's a friend of her brother
Mark. Jack says may not be serious but it is hummworthy, but if she's happy, he's happy.
There's an awkward moment.
"Bit uncomfortable isn't it" Jack remarks. Sam acknowledges that.
Back in Daniel's house, Osiris is using a ribbon device on Daniel as he lies on the
bed, then she inserts the memory device and we are back in time again with Sarah.
Sarah tells him she's read everything he's ever published and even referenced his work
for her thesis at Cambridge. They exchange a long look and Daniel offers her
coffee…or tea. Osiris leaves by some sort of transport beam.
Sam and Pete are walking hand in hand, looks like the park from Ascension. They have
just seen Signing In The Rain and they are amicably arguing about the merits of it. They
reach Sam's front door. Because Pete thinks Sam is so amazing he's decided to take a
further two weeks leave to be with her. They kiss but Sam tells him that she has to be up
early, again he presses her can't understand what's so important about her job.
Sarah brings Daniel Coffee and they kiss. She also has a tablet for him, seems it's
been carbon dated as over 10,000 years old, she thinks he might enjoy the challenge!
Daniel recognises the language as a derivative of Latin.
In the commissary Daniel has fallen asleep over the table, when woken, he discusses his
dream with the others. Teal'c suggests it might be some memory from the time he was
ascended that's he's trying to recall.
Sarah brings Daniel dinner; he's close to cracking the translation, something about a
city, a map, and an ancient race of humans.
Sam drives up to her house, #1025 on the gate, collects her mail and finds a single red
rose at the top of the steps with a note from Pete. Dinner at eight and telling her to
dress up.
In the gym at Cheyenne Mountain Daniel and Teal'c work out. …. Drool alert!!!
Them's fine looking boys ;-)….eh oh yes where was I? Now that Teal'c needs to sleep
he has taken an interest in dreams and they discusses what is happening. But Daniel is not
reassured by the Jaffa's comments.
"Thank you Teal'c, this conversation has been disturbing on many levels!"
Pete arrives at Sam's house all dressed up, Sam opens the door and the camera pans up
from her high heels to her black dress, with cleavage! She looks stunning! He has brought
her 11 roses to make the full dozen. They go dancing. I would call this a Tea Dance a
1940s style dance for Senior Citizens. They slow dance together and observe the others.
Pete makes a comment along the lines of how nice it would be to be together all that time,
which is IMO a really romantic thing to say, implying that he hopes he and Sam will be
together till old age too…. Awww
Daniel is having trouble with the translation, Sarah encourages him and they kiss even
though he's missed Dinner with her, which confuses him, he's surprised she didn't leave.
Back at Sam's house, Pete and Sam are sitting in the car, she asks him in. He jokes
about this at first worried if she's messy or a neat freak, but he does follow her in and
they kiss passionately.

They wake in Sam's bed, talking about why he became a cop, and how he's divorced
because of the hours he works, but when it gets back to Sam's job and she's still not
telling him anything he gets out of bed very quickly.
When Pete gets to his car he makes a call, seems he's FBI! he calls someone and asks
them to do a background check on Sam!
Daniel discussing his dreams with the others, says he feels he's not in control of what
is happening. Sarah loved him and he cared about her, but he was always too obsessed with
his work and she broke it off, which is not what is happening in his dreams. Teal'c
suspects Goa'uld interference.
Time to take it to Hammond. In the briefing room, they discuss the situation. They
reckon Osiris could have acquired beaming technology from the Asguard, specifically Thor
when he was her prisoner. Sam thinks she knows a way to jam the beam. Daniel wants to see
the dream through, but Jack isn't happy about that.
Pete gets the information about Sam's background check, she must be connected to some
high level stuff like black Ops because everything but the cover story has been scrubbed.
Pete jokes it's ok not as if he's dating her or anything!
Sam calls Pete from her lab but gets the voicemail. Jack says Teal'c is picking up
donuts as they prepare for the mission to catch Osiris in which they will stake out
Daniel's house, jam the beam and them use a tranquilliser dart to stun her and afterwards
get the Tok'ra to remove the symbiote.
"How's Pete" Asks Jack
"You know how it is?" Sam replies, " usually you don't let it bother you
because he couldn't cope with the truth"
"Usually."
" I think he could."
We see Daniel's house at night, Jack Teal'c and Sam are in a van watching different
screens.
Jack talks to Daniel over the Radio, " Are you asleep Daniel?"
"Yes Jack am fast asleep!"
Nearby Pete is also watching!
Teal'c passes Jack a box of donuts, Jack looks and refuses, Teal'c looks wounded!
Osiris turns up, so Sam activates the jammer.
As the sun comes up she' still there.
In the dream, Daniel is still translating, but not got it yet, there are seven symbols
he can't understand, because he never knew them!
"How unfortunate!" Osiris uses her ribbon device on him, Jack bursts in, she
can't leave so blasts Jack and Teal'c with the ribbon device.
Sam runs from the van, firing at Osiris but she's activated her shield so the Zat is
ineffective. Pete appears but Sam tells him to get down, he fires his gun anyway, but it's
useless against the shield. Seeing the Goa'uld's eye's glow he says, " That's not
normal!"
Osiris sees the petrol [Gas] cap on the van and blasts it igniting all the fuel and
blowing up the van. Sam and Pete are thrown to the ground.
Jack has recovered enough to hit Osiris with the dart she collapses.
We see # 4075 on the house.
Pete seems ok but no he's bleeding badly, Sam makes a deal with him tells him if he
makes it through, she'll explain.
Sarah wakes in the infirmary, the symbiote is gone. She apologises to Daniel and he
reassures her it's not her fault; they hug.
In another room, we see Pete sitting up in bed recovered, surprised that there's a
hospital in Cheyenne Mountain.
Sam has a present for him, a photo of the two of them dancing. They Kiss.
"What I'm about to tell you is classified, " Pete makes a joke as she starts
to talk about the Stargate, but she presses on. The scene fades as she continues to
explain starting with the 1928 find at Giza… |
