Summary
Whilst running more tests on Merlin's device, Sam is transported to one of the
alternate realities, killing that universe's Major Carter.
She takes her place and helps that earth hide from an Ori attack fleet.
However, things are very different on this Earth, the Stargate is public knowledge, the
United States has martial law and they have withdrawn all support from other worlds. Major
Lorne is head of SG-1, Cameron never recovered properly from his Antarctic injuries,
Teal'c is with the Jaffa, Vala is in prison in Area 51, though Daniel had the same fate -
captured by the Ori. No mention is made of where Jack is! General Hammond is in charge of
the SGC and Landry is the president!
Sam wants to find a way home, but "Major Carter" is a hero and she's expected
to continue with Carter's research. Can she get help from Carter's ex-husband Rodney
McKay? ( In this universe they never went to Atlantis.)
