Spring and Summer 2002

Photo Report Index

Spring and summer have been notable for their high rainfall, but there have been the occasional good days.

The May Day weekend produced some stunning weather, as seen in this view of the Sgurr na Ciche group, from across Loch Quoich, normally the wettest place in Scotland.

The weekend of the club meet to Rum was largely wet, preventing most people from completing the full traverse of the Rum Cuillin. The Sun did show itself on the Sunday evening, and it was dry enough to start a campfire.

The Queen's Jubilee Weekend was also mixed. Stac Polly did make an appearance from the cloud, as seen from the Brae of Achnahaird campsite.

The Glen Brittle meet fared better, with a dry Saturday, so that between a number of parties, most of the major Cuillin peaks were climbed. Here, Mary Inglis is seen abseiling from the Innacessible Pinnacle.
