Use by Club Members
The club organises a meet at the hut approximately every two months as well as the Easter and New Year holidays. Members are encouraged to book the croft for themselves and guests at other times - there are always four spaces reserved for members, even when there is an external booking. Hut fees are now included in the club subscription for JMC members and are £6 for their guests.
External Bookings
Other MCofS or BMC affiliated clubs can book between 10 and 14 places in the hut at a rate of £6pppn. Contact the Hut Custodian for more details.
Situation and Access
Inver is located about one and a half miles from Achnasheen, near Torridon in the NW Highlands
(see
map). There is a large layby for parking , and the croft is a five minute walk across a footbridge and a raised walkway. Yeti gaiters or wellies can be handy in very wet weather.
Facilities
Inver has basic sleeping accomodation, and well equipped kitchen and dining facilities.
See separate page for more on hut facilities.
Please note that our lease states that fires and camping are not allowed outside the hut.
Local Mountaineering
Inver is close to some of the finest walking and climbing in Scotland. Torridon is a short drive away, and there
is plenty of good walking and climbing further down Glen Carron.
