A fabulous modern building for the foundation children wraps around and encloses the playground - at the centre of which stands a glorious walnut tree.
Around and under the tree was scattered planting through which wandered random paths of dinosaur impressed slabs and a tripod of bamboo poles. It was interesting, but the children just rushed around and through it, never staying long enough to benefit from the space.

We designed and built a series of spaces with differing characters using the slabs in a different way, adding more bamboo poles and planting to make entrances and spaces, building a hexagon deck at the base of the shading tree and ...

... by using the old car-tyres on their sides we are making a path of decorated tyres - the children will complete the path in the first week of term with their own designs.
