This was the concrete 'yard' and the clutter of years of casual use
- very claustrophobic, and needing a sense of quality, needing
a sense of space in which to build up nice groups of pots and
of course ... somewhere to relax with friends.

It needed to be a budget job too ... not much to ask!! ....

Simon Venn designed a simple but effective use of concrete
slabs - randomly patterned and laid on the diagonal.

The 'Rainbow pergola' works beautifully with the existing windows painted orange - bringing light into the kitchen, and sunshine ... even
on a rainy day!

From the clutter and worn out surfaces ...

to a quality space - with that floating pergola in the
evening sun ... simply breath-taking.

Happy Client?

'Really happy - I had hoped the stained timber pergola would be an attractive addition but  I never dreamed it could look so beautiful - really 'floating' over the patio.  I love it - sitting out with my friends, planting out my new beds, bringing on my pots and planters.  It's lovely!.
A thousand thanks for your work this year in our yard... It really has transformed it.
