Wm. Cramond, A.M. L.L.D., Schoolmaster of Cullen
(1) Erected by Alexander Creib of Blairshinnoch in memory of his son, Alexander, who died March the 21st, 1836, aged 1 year and 5 months. The erector, Alexander Craib, died on Blairshinnoch, 10th August 1849, aged 60 years.
(2) Here is intered the Body of James Watson, seaman in Whithills, who died 24th day of March 1785, aged 63 years. This stone is erected by his Sons.
(3) Erected by Henry Watson, fisherman in White- hills. in memory of his beloved daughter, Elspet, who died 4th Aprile 1840, aged two years.
(4) Erected by Janet Watson to the memory of her husband, George Watson, Seaman. Whitehills, who died 12th April 1848, aged 69.
(5) Erected by Margaret Findlay in memory of her beloved husband, Henry Watson, seaman, Whitehills, who died 29th August 1876, aged 51 years. Also, their daughter, Elizabeth, who died 26th December 1856, aged 2 months. Also, their daughter, Margaret, who died 20th March 1858, aged 2 months.
(6) In memory of William Watson, fisherman, White. hills, who died at sea 4th day of January 1813, aged 60 years; and his wife, Jane Lovie, who died at Whitehills 21st November 1869, aged 88 years.
(7) In memory of George Watson, fisherman, White- hills, who died 5th February 1827, aged 74 years; also, his wife, Jane Adamson, who died 17th March 1836, aged 70 years; also of James, William, George, Alex- ander, John, Jane, May, Janet, and Ann, children of the above George aud Jane Watson.
(8) 1878. Erected by Henry Watson, Administrator. General of British Guiana, in memory of his father, Henry Watson, who died at sea 12th January 1818, aged 26 years. Also of his mother, Janet Watson. who died at Whitehills 11th June 1816, aged 84 years; also of his sister, Janet Watson, wife of George Watson, who died 26th September 1842, aged 26 years; and of their son, William, who died 22nd May 1871, aged 30 years.
(9) In memory of Henry Watson, born at Whitehills, Banffshire, 1st May 1819, died in London 2nd July 1881, for many years a prominent colonist in British Guiana, South America.
(10) Erected by George Ritchie, shoemaker, Whitehills, in affectionate remembrance of his only child, Ann Watson, who died 19th December 1881, aged 5 years.
(ll) Erected to the memory of George Imlach, late farmer, Wylieholes, Fordyce, who died 23rd June 1877, aged 67 years; also, his daughter, Helen, who died 31st July 1841, aged one year and eleven months; also, his daughter, Margaret, who died 25th January 1849, aged one year and ten months; also, his son, Andrew, who died at Newmill, Keith, 13th Sep. 1876, aged 29 years. The will of the Lord be done.
(12) This stone is erected by William Elder in Banff to the memory of his wife, Ann Petrie

(13) 1872. Erected by John M'Queen's family to the memory of a loving mother, Mary Smith, who died in Whitehills 11th March 1871, aged 58 years, much re- gretted. The above John M`Queen died 31st July 1873, aged 72 years. Deeply regretted.
(14) Erected by John Imlah, Broadley, in memory of his daughter, Ann, who died the 11th Novr. 1840, in her 19th year; also of his wife, Betsy Stevenson, who died the 20th of January 1875, aged 85 years. The above John Imlah died at Afforsk, Oyne, 27th Feb. 1878, aged 87 years, and is here interred.
(15) This stone is erected by Alexander Smith, to the memory of his father, James Smith, late Manager of the salmon fishing of Banff, who departed this life Augt. 12th, 1794, aged 64 Years.
(16) Here lyes the body of George Smith, lauful son of James Smith, wheelwright in Banf, who died Dec. 9, 1757.
(17) This stone is erected by George Watson, mariner
in Whithills, to the memory of his parents -- George
Watson, his father, late shipmaster there, who died 12th
Novr. 1776, aged 45 years; and Hellen Watson, his
mother, who died 4th August 1765, aged 30 gears. Also
is intered here, Margrat Watson, their daughter, who
died June 5th, 1799, aged 5 years; and George Watson,
the erector, who died 14th Octr. 1814, aged 48 years.
Also, George Watson, grandchild of the erector, who
died 24th Decr. 1836, aged 5 years; and also, George
Watson, grandchild's father, who died 4th Jany, 1843,
aged 46 years. Helen Watson, daughter-in-law of the
erector, died 23rd March 1862, aged 68 years.

(18) John Watson, ship.carpenter, Whitehills, in memory of his daughter, Margaret,, who died 20th Novr. 1866, aged 5 years and 4 months.

In memory of William Wat- son. surgeon, Banff, who died there 27th September l838, aged 54 years; and his wife, Christina Milne, who died at Ellon 29th January 1860, aged 64 years. Erected by their son, Dr James P. Watson, Aberdeen, who died there March 15th, 1869, aged 47 years.

Under this stone is interred in hopes of a glorious resurrection ye bodie of William Smison, who departed this life Septr. 28, 1776, aged 55 years; also. his son, George, who departed this life the 28th of April 1799. aged 32 years; also his spouse, Marjory Watson, who died 9th May 1809, aged 82 years; also, Alexander, infant son of William Watson, surgen, Banff, their grandson and successer, 21st May 1820.
(21) Erected by James Paterson, shipmaster in McDuff, and Helen Watson, his spouse, in memory of their once beloved daughter, Anne Paterson, who died the 9th day of November 1812, in the 20th year of her age; also, Alexander Paterson, their son, who died the 26th Decr. 1818, aged 35 years; also, his spouse, Jean Alexander, who died the 11th Septr. 1816, aged 24 years; Also, the said James Paterson, who died 25th September 1831, aged 78 years; and of his spouse, Hellen Watson, who died 8th Novr. 1849, aged 93 years. Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord.
(22) Erected by Jean Watson in memory of her beloved husband, Henry Adamson, shipmaster in Whitehills, who died the 8th July 1821, aged 73 years; also of their children, and infant son who died the 28th August 1795; Helen, who died May 1799, aged 3 years; Ann, who died May 1799, aged 11 years; and Jean, who died Nov. 1804, aged 5 years.
(23) In memory of James Lovvie, late Cooper in Whitehills, who died the 18th April 1816, in the 34 year of his age. Erected by his affectionate sister, Jannet Lovvie.
(24) Erected to the memory of Jane Adamson, of Whitehills, who died 12th Jan. 1832, aged 73 years. This stone was placed here by her relatives as a mark of their affection for her.
(25) Sacred to the memory of William Mitchell, late farmer in Overbrea, who died 9th August 1781, aged 25 years. This stone is erected by his spouse Mary Kesik. Also here are intered the body of Jean Mitchell, his daughter, who died 2nd Octr. 1782, aged therteen months.
(26) This stone is erected by William Lovie, ship- master in Whitehills, in memory of his Father, William Lovie, who departed this life 3 Octr. 1788, aged 73 years; and Christian Wilson, his mother, who died Septemr. 23 1803, aged 85 years. The erector of this stone, William Lovie, died April 10th 1820, aged 70 years. Likewise, Jane Smison, his spouse, who died 11th April 1834, aged 80 years.
(27) This stone is erected by James Walker, in memory of his Father, James Walker, who died June 4th 1772, aged 62 years.
(28) ln memory of Alexander Wright, Rosybarn, Alvah, who died April 13th. 1867, aged 75 years, and also of William, his brother, who died June 6th, 1820, aged 22; James, his father, who died October 10th, 1825. aged 67; James, his brother, who died November 2nd, 1827, aged 34; Jane Littlejohn, his mother, who died Jan. 9th. 1833, aged 72; Margaret, his sister, who died October 14th, 1856, aged 75; William, his nephew, who died October 6th, 1859, aged 39, and Barbara, his sister, who died March 2Oth, 1861, aged 59.
(29) Erected by James Paterson, some time smith at Blairshinnoach, in memory of Jannet Wilson, his spouse, who died 26th February 1802, aged 62 years, and of their son John who died 1781, aged 5 years.
(30) This stone is erected by William Steinson, farmer in Whyntie, and Elizabeth Steinson, his wife, to the memory of their child Elizabeth Steinson, who died 23rd Nov. 1795, aged 2 years. Here laid down in hope of a blessed resurrection. Also, George, their son, late farmer at Itlaw, who died the 5th May 1810, aged 26 years, greatly lamented by his friends. Elizabeth Steinson departed this life 2nd June 1836, in the 80th year of her age, and William Steinson 1st May 1842, aged 89. Also, their son, the Rev. James Steinson, late schoolmaster at King-Edward, who departed this life 28th Sept. 1854, in the 64th year of his age.
(31) Erected by James Lovie, seaman, Whitehills, in memory of his son William, who died 7th January 1819, aged 24 years. Also, of his wife Margaret Lovie, who died 11th Nov. 1843, aged 78 years. The above-named James Lovie died 1st February 1853, aged 81 years. Also, his nephew, Alexander Lovie, who died 4th June 1852, aged 32 years. Also his daughter-in-law, Mary Priest, who died 23rd May 1862, aged 67 years; and of his son, John Lovie, husband of the above-named Mary Priest, who died 12th January 1869, aged 76 years.
(32) Erected by Henry Lovie?, carpenter, Whitehills, in memory of his daughter, Jannet. who died 20th Oct. 1883, aged 17 years. `She is not, dead but sleepeth.'
(33 ) Erected by William Steel, slater, Banff, to the memory of his two children, George and Margaret, who died in infancy. The above William Steel died at Banff, 11th May 1858, aged 53 years. Also his son, William, who died at Key West, West Indies, 7th October 1864, aged 22 years.
(34) Sacred to the memory of William Rennie, late of Carnousie Cottage, who departed this life in the blessed hope of a glorious resurrection the 16th day of August 1848, aged 73 years. This stone is erected by his affectionate widow, Barbara Murray.
(35) Erected to the memory of Charles Murray, shipmaster, born at Stonewell,
(Gamrie,) February 1791; served upwards of 40 years at sea; and afterwards spent the remainder of his life as a farmer at Shirralds, near Cullen, died 8th January 1871, aged 80 years.
(36) Sacred to the memory of William Smith, mason in Banff, who died 14th January 1811, aged 59 years, and Isabella, his daughter, who died the 28th October 1801, aged 4 years. Erected by his sons, Alexander and William.
(37) 1841.--Erected by Alexander Wood, seaman, Whitehills, and his spouse, Janet Findlay, in memory of their sister, Janet Wood, who died the 10th March 184l, aged 72 years, having been upwards of thirty-three years spouse of James Brands. square wright, Banff, and in memory of their said sister's four children, who died in infancy. The bones of his father, Alexander Wood. seaman, Whitehills; his mother, Isabel Watson; his brother, Henry; and his sister, Margaret, are all interred here. Here also are interred the remains of Alexander Angus, cooper, Banff, who died 12th May 1872, aged 62 years, and his wife, Janet Brands, who died 14th Septr. 1883, aged 76 years.
(38) Sacred to the memory of our father, Solomon Shearer, a native of Caithness-shire, who died in Banff on the 16th day of May 1861, aged 86 years. This stone is erected in grateful remembrance of an affectionate father, August 11th, 1870; and in loving remembrance of our mother, Helen Raffan, who died 2nd January 1881, aged 86 years; and in memory of our sister and brothers, Ann Shearer, who died in Banff, Novr. 9th, 1825; and J. T. Shearer, who died in New Pitsligo, Oct. 16th, 1834, and J. L. Shearer, who died in New Pitsligo, May 7th, 1840.
(39) Erected as a motive of affection by William Forbes on Dallachie in memory of his only son, John, who died 10th June 1846, in the 28th year of his age, a young man of unassuming manners, who enjoyed the respect of all who knew him, and is sincerley lamented by his beloved parents. Jean Reid, spouse of the above William Forbes, died in Banff 17th July 1850, aged 66 years.
(40) This stone is erected by William Monro, wige maker in Banff, in memory of his son, William Monro, who died Sep. 12, 1758, in the first, year of his age.
(41) This stone is erected by George Lorimer to the memory of his father, and farmer sometime in Boghead. Walter Lorimer died August 5th, 1788, aged 78 years; Elspat Ried, his spouse, died May 20th, 1783, aged 74 years. Also, their children: Anna died 1752, aged 7 years; Alexander died April 1781, aged 34 years; John died in his infancy. An honest man's the noblest work of God.
(42) Under this stone are interred in hopes of a glorious resurrection ye bodies of Frederick Morison, Schoolmaster of Boyndie for the space of 27 years, who departed this life Jan. 1771
(?) in the 57th year of his age; and of his children, Patrick and Elizabeth, who died in the 21st year of their age; and of Willm. & Jean, who died in their infancy. Also in memory of Margaret Morison, spouse to William Smith, shipmaster in Banff, who died 7 of May 1795 in the 63rd year of hir age.
(43) In memory of Jannet Ogilvie, who died 2nd Novr. 1830, aged 79 years. Her husband, James Rae burn, died 9th June 1832, aged 87 years. Their son, James, crofter, Ternemney, died 10th May 1869, aged 83 years.
(44) Erected by Peter Bruce, in memory of his daughter, Jean, who departed this life 7th year of her age; also Barbra, who departed this life 29th April 1822, aged 42 years.
(45) This stone is erected by Ann Christie to the memory of her husband, Robert Milne, late Blacksmith in Whithills, who died May 16th 1788, aged 53 years.
(46) Erected by William Ritchie, Mason, Portsoy, in memory of his father, Walter Ritchie, who died 15th April 1795, aged 74 years; also his mother, Catharine Duncan, who died 18th October.
(47) Erected by Christian Bruce or Lovie, in memory of her husband, James Lovie, shipmaster in Banff, who died at sea on the 2nd day of June 1862, while in com mand of the ship `Gladiator' of Aberdeen, aged 43 years; also, of Catherine Adamson Lovie, their youngest daughter, who died at Banff on the 30th day of June 1867, aged six years and six months; also, of Mary Jane Lovie, their eldest and only surviving daughter, who died at Banff on the 16th of March 1875, aged sixteen years and seven months; also, of James Lovie, their eldest son, who died at Banff on 10th February 1878, aged 25 years and 6 months.

(50) This stone is erected by George Christie, in the Ord, to the memory of his father, John Christie, late farmer at Ittla, who died December 9th. 1790, aged 72 years. Also, his daughter, Ann Christie, who died 17th Jany. 1791, aged 6 years.
(51) This stone was erected by Helen Harper, in memory of her daughter, Christian Dick, who died Nov. 2Sth, 1765, aged 31 years.
(52) 1873. In memoriam. Erected by James C. Harper of King's Lynn, England, in memory of his father, John Harper, who departed this life at Banff A.D. 1820. aged 53 years; also his mother, Isabella Imlach died at Banff December the 6th. 1861. aged 84 years.
(53) In memory of Helen Pirie, who died 15th Aug. 1870, aged 66. This humble memorial is placed here by her husband, George Smith; also, his father, James Smith, his mother, Mary Annand, his grandfather, George Annand, and his grandmother Isabel Sim, are all interred here. The above George Smith died 11th January 1881, aged 79 years.

Janet Fatch, his spouse, died 27th August 1795, aged 63 years. Elizabeth Elder died 1771, aged 3 years. James Elder died 1773, aged 16 years. George Elder died 1775, aged 9 years.
(56) This stone is erected by Thomas Smith, merchant in Banff in memory of his spouse Jean Duncan, who died June the 5th, 1702.
(57) Sacred to the memory of George Reburn. auc- tioneer, Banff, and assessor for the Burgh and County of Banff. Born March 28th, 1799, died December 5th, 1871. Erected by admirers of his eminent ability, his genuine love of peace, and his unwearied and disinterested exertions for all to whom he could be helpful. Also, here lie the remains of Elizabeth Robb, wife of George Reburn, who died November 22nd, 1821, aged 23 years and 8 months, and their child, Isabella Georgina, who died December 12th, 1821, aged two years and six months. Here also are interred remains of Margaret Lobban, second wife of George Reburn, who died December 3Oth, 1667, aged 69 years, and their children--Margaret, who died in infancy; Christina, born October 19th, 1831, died Sept. 24th, 1847, aged 16 years.
(58,) Here is interred the body of George Anton, sometime farmer in Poddocklaw, who died the 11th day of March 1709, aged 74 years. To whose memory this stone is erected by his children.
(59) Here lyes the body of Walter Stevenson, some- time farmer in Whiteoutie, who died 21st July 1779, aged 49 years. To whose memory this stone is erected by his spouse, Isabel Davidson.
(60) Erected by Henry and May Watson, of White-. hills, in memory of their son, Captain James Watson, of the Brig, Lilly of Aberdeen; was born 3rd August 1785, and died 7th March 1821, aged 36 years. Also his daughter May, who died Aug. 1819, aged 7
(?j years. Here also are deposited the remains of John Watson, their son, late merchant in Portsoy. who died the 4th January 1832, aged 28 years. Henry Watson, Ship- master, died at Portsoy on the 28th Sept. 1832, aged 81 years. Also, May Watson, his spouse, who died the 19 May 1839, aged 78 years.
(61) This stone is erected by Margaret Adamsone to the memory of Henry Watson, her husband, sometime Whitefisher in Whitehills. He departed this life the 25th Nov. 1772, aged 49 years; as also, said Margaret, Adamson, his spouse, who departed this life Sept. the 4 1776, aged 53 years. William Watson, Whitefisher in Whitehills, son to the above Henry Watson, records this tribute of affection to the memory of his beloved spouse, Margaret Watt, who departed this life l6th September 1820, aged 68 years.
(62) Erected by Helen Watson, Whitehills, in mem- ory of her husband, George Watson, seaman, who died 4th Jauuary 1843, aged 52 years. Also their son, David, who died 24th April 1834, aged 9 years. Also of their son, David, who died at London 14th April 1854, aged 18 years. The above Helen Watson died 26th August 1869, aged 77 years.

Also, David, who died February 9th. 1835, aged 15 months; and Isabella, who died January 17th, 1838. aged 17 months. Also, his spouse, Janet Adamson, who died 3rd June 1843, aged 44 years, much regretted by her dutiful husband; and also James, who died 9th August 1843, in the 2nd yeor of his age; and Helen, who died 8th November 1846, aged 7 years. David Watson, fisherman, died 26th August 1863, aged 67 years.
(64) Erected by James Watson, in memory of his beloved wife, Margaret Watson, who died 27th April 1878, aged 61 years.
(65) In memory of Charles Black, late farmer in Whyntie, and for many years one of the elders of the parish of Boyndie, who died the 23rd of Novr. 1813, aged 84 years; Mary Cook, his spouse, who died the 18th June 1795, aged 80 years. Also, their son Andrew, who died the 18th June 1784, aged 29 years; and their daughter Jean, who died the 25th Jany. 1803, aged 45 years.
(66) This stone is erected by Daniel Rose, in the Ord, in memory of his spouse, Mary Shee, who died May 26th 1778, aged 34 years.
(67) Under this ston is interred the body of George Paterson, croftsman, some time in Boghead, who died Sept. 27th. 1778, aged 55 years. To his memory this ston is erected by John Paterson, his brother, and Margrat Lorimer, his lawful wife.

(71) A once happy, now disconsolate, father erected this stone to the memory of a beloved son, James Sheriffs, who was most attentive and obedient to his parents. He was cut off by consumption in the prime of youth, and died at Mains of Auchmeddan on the 9th of April 1814, aged twenty years.
(72) In memory of James Elder, late sailor in Banff who died there 2lst Decr. 1814, aged 20 years--much regretted by his parents and friends.
(73) May Bannerman, in memory of her beloved mother, Jane Bannerman, who departed this life 27th August 1870, aged 74 years; also of her beloved brother, James Bannerman, who departed this life 5th April 1865, aged 34 years; also of her beloved father, William Bannerman, who departed this life 26th August 1872, aged 78 years. `The Lord gave, and the Lord taketh away.' ` Blessed are the dead that die in the Lord.'

(78) Erected by Alexander Mitchel, mason in Banff, in memory of his son, William, who died 27th Septr. 1834, aged 21 years, The above mentioned Alexr. Mitchel, whose mortal remains are also interred here, died on the 24th March 1842, aged 71 years. Also, Margaret Scott, spouse of Alexr. Mitchel

(82) Erected to the memory of Jane Harper, spouse of George Watt, farmer at Upper Blairmoud, in this parish, who died there upon the 20th day of November 1840, aged 62 years; Alexander Watt, farmer at Drum, in the parish of Keith, their youngest son, who died there upon the 8th day of November 1850, in the 38th year of his age; the said George Watt, above designed, who died at Ordens, also in this parish, upon the 13th day of August 1859, aged 82 years; and of John Watt, farmer, late of Drum, aforesaid, second son of the said George Watt and Jane Harper, who died at Keith upon the 2nd day of July 1872, aged 83 years.

(97) This stone is erected by Alexander Pirie, in Aids, and his sponge, Jannet Fenton, to the memory of their son, George Pirie. He died June 22nd 1786, aged 7 years.

(99) Here is interred in hope of a glorious resurrec-
tion, which God , who cannot lie, hath promised the
mortal part of Alexr. Scott, sometime Gardiner at
Baldovy, an honest man and a true Christian. He
departed this life June 18th 1771 in the 82nd year of his
age. Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord. Providence
was pleased to place him in a humble station of
life, the various duties of which he discharged with
patience and perseverance, like a good and faithful
servant. Reader, go thou and do likewise. His son,
the Rev. Mr William Scott, caused this stone to be laid
over his grave as a mark of filial piety and gratitude.
How still and peaceful is the grave,
That silent bed how blest;
The wicked there from troubling cease,
And there the weary rest.

(106) In memory of Anna Grant, spouse of Thomas Ogilvie, merchant, Banff. This stone was erected by her disconsolate husband as a mark of respect to a dutiful wife and an affectionate mother. She died the 11th day of May 1810, in the 30th year of her age; and also to the memory of his sisters, Jean Ogilvie, who died 24th Septr. 1815, aged 34 years, and Helen Ogilvie, who died 19th March 1842, aged 63 years.

Alexander Colville, merchant in Banff, who died 1st. May 1832, aged 64 years; also, their children--Elizabeth, died 27 Janry, 1795, aged 6 days; William, died 14th Feby. 1828, aged 19 years; John Colville, solicitor in Banff, died 12th June 1860, aged 49 years.

Their daughter, Elizabeth, late spouse of James Cheyne, feuer in Macduff, who died in childbed, 23 April 1823, aged 34, was also buried here with her infant son.

(137) In the faith of Him who is the Resurrection and the Life are deposited here the remains of George Reid, some time farmer in Blairshinnoch, who died in December 1810, aged 83 years. His spouse, Jannet Smith, who died in 1772, aged 39 years; and their son, George, for many years a mason at Carnusie, who died 3rd July 1823, in the 59th year of his age. This stone is erected as a tribute of respect by his widow, Helen Mitchell; his sister, Isobel, and brothers, James, William, and Alexander.
(138) This stone is erected by Patrick Scakel and Janet AEdison, his spouse, at Scottsmill, for themselves and children, viz.--Patrick Scakel, some time at Mill of Bredock, who died Jany. 24th, 1729; John, Ann, James, Jannet, John, Alexr., Margaret; Alexander, their grandson.

Elspet Craib, spouse of the above Alexander Ogilvie, died 18th Septr. 1810, aged 82 years; and of their children, Elizabeth, who died 17th April 1830, aged 61 years, and Helen, died 22nd Septr. 1841, aged 78 years. To Alexander Smith, farmer, Blairmaud, the successor of the above family of Ogilvie, who resided there for a series of years, late the dutiful and affectionate husband, and now the sorrowing widower, of the last named Helen Ogilvie. This stone was presented as a token of love by her surviving relations.

(154) Here is interred in hops of a glorius resurection the body of John Petrie, sometime tennant in Muriefolde, who died in the year 1782, aged 75 years; and Anna Bain, his spouse, who died in the year, 1771, aged 61 years. This stone is erected by Anna Petrie, their daughter.

Their son, Archibald Milne, died in New Zealand 1842, in the 35th year of his age: and their son, William Milne, Collector of Customs at Old Harbour, Jamaica died there 7th May 1850, aged 36 years. Their daughter, Isabella Milne, died at Boindie Cottage the 18th Decr. 1878, aged 73 years.< /P>

His widow, Isobel Milne, who died the 25th of June 1823, aged 81 years, is also interred here. His youngest son, Alex. Milne, Lt.-Col. of the 19th Regt. of Foot, died at Demerara on the 5th Novr. 1827, aged 48 years.
(195) Near this place are interred the remains of John Milne, Esquire, surgeon in Banff, who died in conse- quence of a fall from his horse May 29th, 1833, in the 26th year of his age. Distinguished by active yet unosten- tatious benevolence. Mr Milne, both in a professional and private capacity, uniformly showed himself a warm friend to the poor, by whom his untimely fate is deeply deplored. Nor to them only was he an object of regard. By the openness of his manners, the warmth of his friendship, and the integrity of his conduct, he had endeared himself in no ordinary degree to the community at large. To perpetuate the memory of one who in the morning of life, and in the active discharge of duty, was so suddenly and unexpectedly lost to the world, a num- ber of friends to whom that memory is dear have caused this monument to be erected. September XII. MDCCCXXXIII.

(197) Erected by Hugh Kemp, late farmer of Easter Whyntie, in memory of his wife, Elizabeth Jack, who died at Mill of Balmaud, King-Edward, on the 22nd day of August 1874, in the 86th year of her age. The said John Kemp died at Mill of Balmaud on the 10th of June 1875, aged 80 years.
(198) In hope of a glorious resurrection, here lies the body of James Byres, principal servant in the family of Findlater for above 20 years, and tacksman of the farm of Dallachy, a man who performed the duties of his station with the strictest fidelity, prudence, and diligence, much beloved by the whole family in which he served. by whom this stone is erected. By his early death the world lost a worthy member of society, his relations a kind and affectionate friend, and the poor a generous benefactor. He departed this life the 6th day of October 1784, aged 46 years. An honest man's the noblest work of God.

(278) In memory of Alexander Murray, farmer, shipowner, and fishcurer, who died at Whitehills the 6th December 1860, aged 65 years. Also his widow, Elspet Ogilvie, who died at Dunnydeer 13th April 1880, aged 75. This monument is erected by his sorrowing widow and family.
(279) To the memory of Alexander Rainy, late at Lintmill of Boyne, who died the 20th January 1800, aged 75; of his spouse, Margaret Clark, who died the 5th Novr. 1840, aged 79; and of their daughter, Anne, who died the 29th June 1822, aged 35. This humble memorial is erected by their only surviving son, Alexander Rainy.
(280) To the memory of the late Alexander Rainy, Boyue, who died there on 2nd July 1852, in the 69th year of his age. Erected in grateful remembrance of him by his affectionate nephews and nieces. 1856.
(281) Erected in memory of James Longmore, Esq., Banff, farmer of Hilton, shipowner, corn-factor, &c., who died at Banff upon the 20th day of June 1874, aged 55 years, by his sorrowing widow, Barbara Gordon or Longmore.
(282) Erected by Andrew Longmore, Esquire of Linksfield, and farmer of the Retties and Baldavie, in affectionate remembrance of Margaret Stevenson, his spouse, who died 19th June 1865, aged 73 years, during 49 of which she proved a skilful and active helpmate in the management of her family and large establishment. Ready in hospitality, sound and open in advice, her blank in society will long be felt. The grief of her family may be mitigated by the sorrow which is rendered blessed by hope.
(283) Erected as a tribute of respect to the memories of William Longmore, for upwards of 50 years farmer of Rettie, and of Jean Bremner, his spouse. The former died 11th Jany. 1832, and the latter 29th March 1815. Both were distinguished for unaffected piety, paternal affection, and guileless integrity and well-known hospi- tality. Also in memory of their children--William, who died 29th March 1792, aged 13 years, and Alexander and a daughter, who both died in nonage.< /P>
(284) Erected to the memory of John Ewen, late wright in Whithills, who died 7th Sept. 1845 aged 62 years. Also of his wife, Elspet Brown, who died 11th June 1875, aged 89 years.
(285) Sacred to the memory of Ann Duncan, wife of Alex. Forsyth, who died 25th June 1883, aged 57 years. Erected as a tribute of respect by her family.
(286) In grateful remembrance of Peter Simpson, late farmer in Little Blacktown, who died the 17th April 1763, aged 63 years. His children have placed this stone. Beneath it are likewise deposited the remains of Lachlan Macdonald, architect in Banff, who died the 12th September 1814, aged 34 years; and of Elizabeth Imlach his wife, who died 20th August 1821, aged 36 years. Also of their infant children, Elizabeth and Agnes.
(287) Erected by Alexander Ogilvie, farmer, Tilly- naught, to the memory of his wife, Margaret Morrison, who died the 17th of April 1850, in the 27th year of her age. Also his daughter, Elspet, who died the 22nd of June 1850, aged 9 months. Ann Geddes, second wife of Alexander Ogilvie, died 5th January 1867, aged 66, and is here interred. Here also rest the remains of the above Alexander Ogilvie, who died 2nd June 1868, aged 69.
(288) Affection's tribute to the memory of Elspet Ross, beloved wife of George Ogilvie, late farmer, Bank- head, who died in Buckie 29th Novr. 1875, aged 80 years; also, her descendants--Ann Rudiman Ogilvie Hutchison, who died 2nd Novr. 1877, aged 4 years, and Gilbert Robertson Hutchison, who died 17th November 1877, aged 3 months; beloved children of J. The above Alex. Reid died 12th June 1812, aged 84 years; and his grandchildren, who died at Auchmore--Mary Reid died 9th April 1817, aged 8 months; Elspet Reid died 19th May 1821, aged 16 years; William Reid died 6th May 1834, aged 26 years; also, their father, Alexander Reid, farmer, Auchmore, who died 18th October 1848, aged 83 years; and his wife, Barbara Reid, who died 2nd March 1863, aged 83 years. Their daughter, Jessie Reid, died 1st February 1870, aged 51 years.

(309) Erected to the memory of Isabella Christie, who died in Banff the 20th of February 1848, aged 53. She lived the greater part of her life in the family of Major and Mrs Griffiths, where, from the faithful dis- charge of her duties, she was regarded more as a friend than a servant.
