(2) Erected by the surviving members of the family of the late JOHN FRASER, in affectionate remembrance of their deceased brothers and sister, viz.:- JOHN, who died at Demerara, in the West Indies. 31st May, 1837, aged 16; WILLIAM, M.D., who died at Poonah. in the H.E.I.C.S., the 19th Septr., 1847, aged 25; CATHARINE INNES, wife of Dr. FRANCIS W. INNES, C.B., who died at Rangoon, Burmah, the 13th Septr., 1855, aged 31; THOMAS, who died at sea, on his passage home from India. on the 14th Feb., 1857. aged 34; JAMES, who died at Bathurst, New South Wales, on the 18th June, 1861, aged 42; ALEXANDER, who died at North Berwick, on the 2nd Sep., 1866, aged 49.

(3) Sacred to the memory of JOHN FRASER, Commissioner to the Right Honble. the Earl of Seafield, who died at Cullen, on the 30th November, 1848, aged 70; also to that of his wife, CATHERINE DUNCAN, who died there on the 16th April, 1862, aged 71.

(4) Erected by JAMES CHRYSTIE, Plasterer, Cullen, to the memory of his daughter ELIZABETH HAY CHRYSTIE, born January 21st, 1843, died September 5th, 1844.

(5) This is the Beural Place of WALTER OGILVIE, Burges in Cul'n.

(6) Sacred to the memory of MARGARET ANNE INNES, who died the 17th August, 1841, aged 27 years, daughter of ROBERT INNES, late Surgeon of the Royal Navy; and Likewise to the memory of MARGARET GRANT, who died the 12th September, 1841, aged 96, relict of ALEXANDER GRANT, late of Tochiniel.

(7) Sacred to the memory of ALEXANDER GRANT INNES, son to, ROBERT INNES, Surgeon, Royal Navy, who died the 8th of February, 1823, aged 12 years; and also of his father, the said ROBERT INNES, who died at Forres, 7th March, 1833, aged 66 years.

(8) In memory of THOMAS RANNIE, who was born at Birdsbank, Cullen, 24th October, 1769, and died there, 15th September, 1849; also of his wife, ELIZABETH WILSON, who died on the 14th December, 1828, aged 63.

(9) Sacred to the memory of MUNGO RANNIE, many years a very respectable Linen Manufacturer and Magistrate in Cullen, who died the 26th January, 1806, aged 79 years. His youngest son, JOHN, a youth of exemplary piety, filial affection, and promising abilities, died the 23rd June, 1809, aged 18 years, and is also interred here. Here also repose the ashes of his daughter HELEN, who died September, 23rd, 1816, aged 26 years, By her sweetness of temper and endearing qualities, this lovely HELEN will live in the fond remembrance of her friends till they, like her, sleep in the Tomb.

(10) In memory of the Rev. ROBT. GRANT, late Minister of Cullen, who died 9th April, 1808, in the 78th year of his age, and 54th of his ministry. A diligent pastor, an affectionate husband, indulgent parent, and warmhearted friend. And, in testimony of regard for his well-known merit, this stone is erected by his son-in-law, the Rev. ALEXR. GRAY, minister of Ordiquhil. Here also lies interred his spouse, ELIZABETH DUNCAN, who died on the 31st day of August, 1809, aged 70.

(11) Sacred to the memory of MARGARET McINTOSH, who died at the Barranyards of Cullen House, June 2d, 1825 - a dutiful and affectionate wife, a tender-hearted friend this stone is erected by her husband, JAMES TAYLOR, Overseer at Cullen Barranyards, as a tribet of respect. And in memory of said JAMES TAYLOR, who died 10th July, 1854, aged 82 years.

(12) In memory of JAMES STEWART, sometime residenter in Cullen, who departed this life 15th March, 1812, aged 72 years. This stone is erected by his affectionate spouse, ANN SPENCE.

(13) This stone is erected by PATRICK COULL, Merchant in Cullen, to the memory of his beloved wife, ANN OGILVIE, who died the 29th Oct., 1764, aged 43. Also, ANN COULL, their daughter, who died in hir infancy.

(14) Here lies interred the remains of JANE JAMIESON, spouse of WALTER OGILVIE, Burgess of Cullen who died upon the 14th day of June, 1760, in the 73rd year of her age. The remains of the said WALTER OGILVIE lies also buried here, who died upon the 23rd day of March, 1771, in the 77th year of his age.

(15) Under this stone lie interred the remains of JAMES MURRAY, sometime a resident in Cullen, afterward on the Farm of Hillocks, in parish of Fordyce. A most devout Christian, an affectionate husband, and tender parent, with a character perfectly pure and unspotted, with conduct blameless and mild. He departed this life in Cullen, the 1 day of Oct., 1796, aged 84 years. Also MARGARET BENNETT, his spouse, of a pious and benevolent disposition, who died the 21 day of Feb., 1791, aged 72 years.

(16) Sacred to the memory of ALEXANDER LEVENY, late in Cullen, who departed this life the 22nd of February, 1806, aged 30 years. This stone is erected by his father, JOHN LEVENY.

(17) Erected by ALEXANDER LEGG in memory of his father, JAMES LEGG, late Crofter, Portknockie, who died in the year A.D. 1840, aged 77 years; and his wife, ELIZABETH STUART, who died A.D. 1849, aged 83 years; and two of their children, JANET and ISOBELLA LEGG, who died in infancy.

(18) In memory of CHARLES McKENZlE, who died 15th June, 1851, aged 61 years: also MARY HAY, his wife, who died 14th June, 1850, aged 47 years: also of their children, ALEXANDER, died 3d February, 1840; ISABELLA, died 29th April, 1843; JESSIE, died 26th March, 1857. Asleep in Jesus.

(19) Erected by WILLIAM McKENZIE to the memory of his father, CHARLES McKENZIE, Mason, Cullen, who departed this life August 12th, 1832, aged 72 years; and his mother, MARGARET LESLIE, who died 20th April, 1850, aged 78 years.

(20) To the memory of GEORGE LOBBAN, who died April 4th, 1841, aged 81 years, and MARGARET MURDOCH, his spouse, who died August 11th, 1841, aged 78 years; also their children, viz.;- GEORGE, who died in infancy; JAMES, who died April 9th, 1806, aged 21 years, whose bodies are interred here; and Anne who died at Durlaithers, August 6th, 1823, aged 23 years, and was interred in the Churchyard of Turriff.

(22) In memory of ALEXANDER MARQUIS, a native of this parish, fifty-seven years farmer of Farskane, and twenty-eight years a member of the Kirk Session of Cullen, nat. 1783; ob; 1848. This tablet is erected by his relict, MAY ANDERSON. also in memory of the said MAY ANDERSON, who died 16th May, 1861, aged 76 years.

(23) In memory of MARY FORSYTH MARQUIS, who died at Elgin on the 8th day of April 1843, aged 12 years, and of JESSIE MARQUIS, who died at the same place on the 4th day of March, 1844, aged 21 years. This stone is erected by their sorrowing mother.

(24) In memory of ROBERT MARQUIS, who died at Durn, 7th March, 1837, aged 58 years; also of his eldest son, ROBERT, who died at Birkenbog, 13th December, 1827, aged 9 years; and of his third son, THOMAS, who died at Durn, 9th January, 1834, aged 8 years.

(25) To the memory of JAMES MARQUIS, who was born, lived, and died in Cullen, on the 18th day of March, 1815, aged 62; and his spouse, JANNET STIRLING, who died 26th January, 1828, aged 76 years.

(26) To the memory of LEONORA FORBES, who departed this life the 1st August, 1817, aged two months and 18 days; also JAMES STEWART FORBES, who died the 11th Octr. 1820, aged 6 years and 11 days. Erected by their affectionate father, JAMES FORBES, Shoemaker, Buckie. Also his son, WM. who departed this life 26th Feby, 1837, aged 18 years and two months. (28) Erected in memory of HELEN HARDIE, wife of JAMES G. DUNBAR, Mercht, Cullen who died 4th Octr. 1845 aged 32 years; JAMES HAY DUNBAR, their much beloved eldest son, who died 22nd July, 1864, aged 20; on 16th Dec, 1877, BARBARA DUNBAR, wife of late JAMES HARPER, Turriff, aged 76; on 30th January, 1879, JAMES GRANT DUNBAR, aged 81, Asleep in Jesus.

(29) In hopes of a glorious resurrection, here ly the bodies of JOHN BROWN, who died Novr. 24th, 1788, aged 69 years; and of his grandson, GEORGE BROWN, who died in his infancy. This stone was erected by JOHN and ISOBEL BROWN in memory of their deceased father, sometime in Shirralds.

(30) Sacred to the memory of Rear-Admiral JAMES OUGHTON, who died in Cullen, the place of his nativity, on the 9th of June, 1832, aged 71; here also lie the remains of his father and mother, JOHN OUGHTON and MARGARET WATT, likewise natives of Cullen, the former of whom died in 1796 and the latter in 1811.

(31) Sacred to the memory of MARGARET OUGHTON, who died at Cullen, 24th January 1851, aged 73; and her sister, ISABEL OUGHTON, who died at Cullen, 29th August, 1853, aged 85.

(32) This monument is erected be JOHN HAY, Cordiner in Cullen, in the year of God, 1724, in memory of his father, GEORGE HAY, who dyed Aprile the 4, 1706; and his mother, MARGARET HENDRY, who dyed the 31st day of Decr. 1734.

(39) Erected by WILLIAM SUTHERLAND, in memory of his son, DANIEL, who died 30th July, 1844, aged 17 years; and his wife, JANET BROCK, who died 30th August, 1846, aged 63 years; also ELIZABETH and JANET, their daughters, the former of whom died at Glasgow, on 3rd May, 1848, aged 35 years, and the latter at Leith, on 2nd May, 1819, aged 3 years. (41) Sacred to the memory of JAMES ROBERTSON, Junior, Merchant, in Portsoy, who died the 9th day of April, 1777, aged 48 years; also his son, JAMES ROBERTSON who died the seventh day of June, 1768 aged nineteen days. This stone was erected by his wife and children. Also his son, GEORGE ROBERTSON, Junior, who died the eleventh day of April, 1778, aged twenty years.

(42) This stone is laid here by JAMES ROBERTSON, Merchant in Portsoy, and WILLIAM ROBERTSON, Mercht. in Rotterdam, to the memory of their father, ALEXANDER ROBERTSON, sometime Merchant in Portsoy, who died July 1st 1744, aged 78 years; and of ELSPET LORIMER, their mother, who died April 24th, 1760, aged 98 years - and were both buried here; as were also JEAN, MARY, and JANET ROBERTSON, daughters of the said JAMES ROBERTSON and JANET MILNE, his wife, who all died in their infancie; and likewise the said JANET MILNE, his wife, who died the twentie-eight day of October, 1779, aged 59 years.

His daughter, JEAN, died 1784, aged 20 years, Here also is interred JEAN JAMIESON, the beloved spouse of GEORGE DUFFUS, Wright, Banff, who died at Banff, 11th Decr. 1848, aged 71 years.

(74) Erected to the memory of JOHN DUFFUS, Wright, Portknockie, who died 7th June, 1814, aged 79 years; and his wife, JEAN HAY, who died 17th August, 1818, aged 77 years. This is erected by her son, JOHN DUFFUS, Wright, Cullen, and is interred here five of his children who died in infancy. Also his son-in-law, ALEXR. BUZZONIE, who died 29th July, 1837, aged 33 years; and his son JOHN, who died 4th Jany. 1838, aged 1 year.

(104) As a tribute of affection and gratitude, this stone is erected by ELSPET RUNCIE, in memory of her late worthy husband, JOHN RUNCIE, in Seatown of Cullen, who died 23rd April, 1818 aged 67 years also in memory of her son JOHN RUNCIE, who died 3rd Septr, 1817, aged 37 years, and lies interred on his estate, Doorensvieede, in the colony of Demerari; and in memory of the above-named ELSPET RUNCIE, who died in November, 1835, aged 81 Years. JANET WOOD, above-named, died 5th April, 1813, aged 77 years; and in memory of their son, Captain JOHN FINDLAY, late of the Cape of Good Hope, who died at Cullen, 22nd March, 1851, aged 73 years.

(106) Here lye interred the body of WILLIAM RUNCIE, Seaman in Seatown of Cullen, and of MARGARET WOOD, his spouse. She died August 10th, 1771, aged 72 years. He was born May 30th, 1702; died August 28th, 1779. He was eminent for piety, prudence, good sense, and good conduct, highly respected while he lived, and justly regretted when he died.

(159) JAMES, Earl of Findlater and Seafield, Viscount of Redhaven, Lord Ogilvie of Deskfoord and Cullen, born July 11, 1663, Knight of the Most Ancient Order of the Thistle, and Sheriff of the Shire of Banff, successively Secretary of state and Chancellor of Scotland. After the union of the two kingdoms, he served as one of the representative Peers of Scotland in Parliament, was of the Privy Council, and Commissioner to several General Assembles of the Church of Scotland. His great eloquence and capacity acquired him just applause in publick, as did his strict equity and generosity in private life. Dutiful to his parents, kind and affectionate to his wife and children, benevolent to all, he died, universally regretted, Aug, 19, 1730. Here likwise lyes interred his wife, ANN DUMBAR, Countess of Seafield, who's rare virtue, piety, prudence, and sweetness of temper rendered her amiable in all the different relations of life. This monument is erected to their memory by JAMES, Earl of Findlater and Seafield, their son.

(160) JAMES, Earl of Findlater and Seafield, Vice-Admiral of Scotland, aged 74, ended a life of eminent piety, loyalty, and benevolence upon the 9th of July, 1764, in obedience to his commands, the monument above with the inscription was erected, he having forbid any particular monument for himself.

(161) To the memory of Lady SOPHIA HOPE, born May 1702; married Dec. 1723 to JAMES, Earl of Findlater and Seafield; died April 25, 1761, Her life was one uninterrupted course of Christian piety, universal benevolence, integrity, and justice. Duty to her parents - particularly to her father-in-law, the Chancellor Earl of Findlater

(next to whose body her's is interred) - of most affectionate and dutiful attachment to her husband, unwearied care of his health, constant attention to the interests of his family

(his estate having been nearly doubled by her prudent and decent oeconomy), and of motherly affection to his infant children by his first wife, Lady ELIZABETH HAY, a most valuable and virtuous lady, who died at Dupplin, and was interred in the burial place of her father, THOMAS, Earl of Kinnoull. This monument was order'd by her beloved husband, who directed his body to be interred near hers.

(162) Sir JAMES CHARLES OGILVY-GRANT, chief of the clan Grant 7th Earl of Seafield, Viscount of Reidhaven, Lord Ogilvy of Deskford and Cullen Baron Strathspey of Strathspey, Baronet of Nova Scotia, Knight of the most ancient and noble Order of the Thistle. Born at Cullen House, 4th of September, 1815; married 12th August, 1850, Hon, CAROLINE STUART, daughter of 11th Lord Blantyre; died at Cullen House, 18th February, 1881; buried at Duthll, 26th February, 1881.

(163) ALEXANDER DUNCAN, founder of the Duncan Bequest. Born Oct. 2, 1776; died Dec. 20, 1845.
