The plaque reads:
NENE PARK was created by Peterborough Development Corporation
to provide in perpetuity enjoyment of countryside recreation for the people of
Peterborough and visitors to the city. On 23rd September 1988 the Corporation
transferred its stewardship to Nene Park Trust to promote, conserve and improve
Nene Park for the benefit of the community.
