This much more detailed map of the parish attempts to delineate the topography by showing hills, woods, streams, roads, places of historical interest, much more accurately than previous maps.

From the River Spey along the coast into Rathven parish, and across the Burn of Tynet, the major places are the Fishtown of Tannachy; Port Gordon; Buckie; Rotten Slough; Findochtie; Portknockie; Crewits [Cruats]. Turning south-west we pass Burntown, the Bein Hill on our left and Woodhouse, Woodside, Rannas and Westside. On our right is Longshade, Muirycrook and the Kirktown of Rathven. The road, now the modern A98 takes us past Connage, Newtown, Rannachy and on our far right, Freuchney. On our left is Rannachy and Cleanhill while further in land is Plashdubs. On our right is the Mill of Buckie, Bearhill and N[ether] Buckie. Crossing the Buckie Burn we approach the Engie Chapel with Cairnfield House, Birkenbuss [Birkenbush] and Bogs further inland. Towards the coast is the Mill of Gollachy and Suppositum, perhaps the modern Slackhead with its neighbour Slackend nearer the coast. The road passes between Glasterum and Leitchieston on its way towards the Burn of Tynet passing the Roman Catholic Chapel, Cuttlebrae, Cofurrach and Burnside on its way. The Burn is crossed at Tynet Mill with the two Achinreath settlements in a north-west direction. Nearer is Achenhalrig while the parish boundary is just ahead. Retracing our steps and veering southwards at Chapelford the road passes Newbigging on the left and Oxhill on the right. As it heads towards the southern side of the Hill of Maud it passes Bogshallock, Braidmuir and Berrybauds. On the left is Linhouse, Farnachty and Letterfurie as we approach the Darbreich Burn flowing towards Cullen via Darbreich itself.
