The Famous Mac C
C.M.Flett
1999
Fame and Joyce are sure to be
Close companions e'er since she
Appeared on Scotland's STV
The mind jist boggled --
Mac C, a prime time view! All Scotland oggled!
She told them aw' aboot her plans,
Tae ging abroad tae far-off lan's,
By air and sea and camper vans,
Wi' Hugh escortin',
But Scotland's loss, Oz's gain -- thon Charm exportin'
Doon here, we watch the EeeBC!
For which we pay a licence fee;
They'd want tae hike it up tae see
Braw "Chins" McConville;
So BSE and boring sport will be oor quartil'.

But will young Joyce be quite the same,
Noo that she's found head swelling Fame,
And all and sundry know her name?
The question lingers.
We hae our doots, but watch this space, an' cross yer fingers.
She hasna got a fan club yet,
Scots Parliament's first bill -- you bet!
But see her on the internet
