Middlewich United Reform Church

The Middlewich United Reformed Church is currently raising money to purchase new chairs as part of improvement work they are undertaking.

 

On 6^th August, our Chairman, Simon Jones, held a presentation at the church hall to help raise additional funds towards this cost.

 

The evening was a complete success with 50 people attending.  As part of the talk Simon covered various topics including the origin of Bonsai, how to care and look after them, which tools to use, styles of trees, Accent plants and pots.  After the tea break, and finding out who our lucky winners of the raffle were, Simon then went on to display a Tokonoma, explaining about why and how Bonsai are shown in this way.

 

The evening received very positive feedback, plus we managed to raise £200, which is the cost of almost 3 chairs for the church!
