Ballad of Robin Hood

In a forest glen with his outlawed men
Lived a man called Robin Hood.
Who robbed the rich to feed the poor,
He was valiant, brave and good.
Perchance one day in the month of May,
A sweet maid came riding by.
She stole his heart; they would never part,
He would love her till he died.

In days of old when the knights were bold
Lived a man called Robin Hood.
Who robbed the rich to feed the poor
He was valiant, brave and good.
When the Sheriff's men searched the forest glen,
There was nowhere they could they find.
The fearless blade and his lovely maid,
They were neither here nor hide.

Rob roamed the glen with his merry men.
Giving substance to the poor.
Folk far and wide spoke his name with pride,
In the bygone days of yore.
In days of old when the knights were bold
Lived a man called Robin Hood.
Who robbed the rich to feed the poor
He was valiant, brave and good.
