This year we tried something new: instead of hiring a minibus, we relied entirely on public transport. Travel passes meant that the buses and ferry were free, and although we may have lost out a bit on flexibility, we all enjoyed sharing the travel experience and saving money!

Our garden was full of flowers...
There was a half-sized snooker table...
A dining room too big even for all of us...
Central heating...

Couldn’t have been better!

This wonderful house, where we stayed, was built by the Coutts family (famous bankers) and was just off the High Street in the centre of town. There was a large church with a huge spire 50 yards away, so we couldn’t get lost!
