Laurence Parrot

It is with deep regret that we have to announce that Laurence Parrot has died as a result of a tragic accident on Sunday 6^th September. The club would like to extend their condolences to his family, John, Heather, Moteh, Eleanor & Iseabail at this sad time. 

A gathering to celebrate  Laurence's life was held at Boleskine Church, Drumtemple ,Stratherrick on 25th September at 12 noon, where family and friends gave recitations and played musical  tributes .

Laurence who lived in Errogie was a former pupil of Stratherrick Primary School and Inverness Royal Academy.  He was a talented and promising musician, who after attaining an A -grade in his Advanced Higher for music had  been accepted to attend Stirling University to study music.

Laurence along with his older brother Moteh were members of a local band called ''The Soundtrack"  which won Hootananny's hotly-contested Battle of the Bands competition in 2007.

Laurence who has been with the shinty club since primary school,  was a member of the successful Boleskine team in 2004 that won the  U14 North League Div2 . In August 2005 as a 13 year old Laurence made his first team debut against Kincraig and played regularly for the first team in the following few seasons.
