Chinnor Short Mat Bowls
Club, formed in the year 2000 now needs an outdoor short mat facility.
Chinnor is a large village
of some 6000 plus residents with more housing promised in the future.
Our aim is to broaden the
range of sporting facilities available.
opportunities to return people to active lifestyles by increasing participation
in sport and other physical activity and will promote health and well being.
By encouraging youth to
participate, we hope to tackle vandalism, anti-social behaviour and

community outdoor short mat bowls for the people of Chinnor, South Oxfordshire
and its environs, particularly to encourage youth into the sport of bowls.
Building an outdoor short mat facility.
Set up a bowls school of excellence.
Running twice weekly short mat bowls sessions.
Establish links with local Schools, Scouts, Youth Groups and U3A Groups.
Delivering a promotional programme of training and coaching in

We need to raise £30,000
in order to make this project a reality. We have raised approximately £5000
through our own efforts, and we are applying for Grants from various bodies and
organisations. Many people have been extremely generous, but we still need to
