I am committed to the use of massage as a means of promoting good health.

Yoga and Climbing

I have practiced both Iyengar and Astanga Yoga for over 6 years, and
this has enabled me to develop a strong understanding of posture,
balance, and the importance of breathing and relaxation.
Therapeutically, yoga helps to release emotional tension,
and I find there are many parallels between yoga and massage.

Rock climbing has been a life time passion, and as a physically
demanding sport, has reinforced my appreciation of massage
as a means of treatment and recovery from intensive physical activity.

Music

Music can be a powerful means of relaxation, and as a trained musician,
I have developed an interest in exploring the therapeutic combination of music and massage. For those who respond strongly to music, I actively encourage sharing music from a variety of genres to enhance the massage experience.

History

Originally from New Zealand, I have been based in the UK for over 14 years. Following a recent change of direction into the medical profession, I am currently studying for a degree in Optometry.

The awareness and understanding that I have gained through my studies of massage therapy and health science have greatly informed my massage practice.
