Speed Pool Rules 8 Ball
1. Generally, 8 Ball Pool rules shall apply.
2. Players will pay for the table and try to pot all the balls in the fastest time.
3. Any coloured ball can be played or potted but the black ball must be the last ball potted in any pocket thereby stopping the clock.
4. The time will start when the cue ball is struck and end when the black ball is potted.
5. Fouls.
(a) Failing to hit a coloured object ball with the cue ball.
(b) If you touch a ball with clothing etc, per the current NB&DPL rules.
(c) If the black ball is played with the cue ball on the first impact before hitting a coloured object ball.
Penalty = 10 second penalty is added to clearance time.
6. Players are allowed to continue to play providng the cue ball and object ball have come to rest (although other balls may be in motion).
7. If the cue ball goes in-off, the player must wait for it to be recycled by the table mechanism and will forfeit the game if they stop the cue ball from going into a pocket.
8. If the cue ball goes off the table, the player and no one else must retrieve it and they should put it into a pocket to go through the mechanism as above.
9. If a coloured ball goes off the table the player and no one else, must retrieve it and they should put it in the centre of the cushion behind the black spot and continue to play from where the cue ball comes to rest.
10. If a player pockets the black ball but the cue ball goes in-off, the game is forfeit.
11. Should a stalemate situation arise, the game is forfeit.
12. No jump shots are allowed, else the game is forfeit.
13. No combination shots are allowed to pot the black at the same time as a coloured ball, else the game is forfeit.
14. If the black ball goes off the table, the player and no one else, must retrieve it and they should put it in the centre of the cushion behind the black spot and continue to play from where the cue ball comes to rest.
15. If the black ball is potted from the break, the frame is replayed.
