RETIREMENTS

Dependant upon who's retirement bash the author can blag an invitation, these pages will be pictorially dedicated to the winners of the Cable & Wireless

 Bertram Oliver Ormskirk Trophy

This is an occasional award presented to those staff who, having completed a near lifetime of service to the outfit, have performed successfully in the following activities:-

1. "Getting out while the going is still good"

2. "Beating the system" before either

(a) the system beats you

    or

(b) the company can no longer afford to have one..

Whichever is the sooner.

3.  Following a further outbreak of Downsizing, the   member of staff will have shown

initiative in demonstrating indispensability to no avail, and continuing usefulness

to a full room of deaf ears !!!
