...Yet another fine example of Seventies laziness where the town planners couldn't be bothered to qualify the name with Street, Road, Lane etc. - a one word title saves money!!. Hovendens is actually a Cul-de-Sac which is simply a posh term for Dead End, (although the people who live at the end are far from it!!). Depending on your viewpoint, houses number from either 1 upwards or 1 downwards, with  the higher order numbers being all round the bend!!

This one has of course changed - Carolyn's got a conservatory bolted on the end.
