Purchased as a kit of parts with some significant components missing, this is my greatest challenge to date. A number of spare parts have been obtained already, but there's a lot still to do including crankshaft grinding and big end replacement.
Update March 2001 - the crankshaft has been to Plymouth for the main bearings to be remetaled and machined to fit, the crankpin was also metalsprayed and machined back to the correct dimension for the refurbished big end bearing. Mising parts in hand include, a near-perfect jelly mould cylinder head and main bearing housing. Further effort awaits the construction of a trolley upon which to reassembe the engine.
