audioTrash

Introducing AudioTrash a three piece Rock band from Sleaford. The band consists of Jay Pearce – Lead guitar, Jon Hill – Bass Guitar and Mike Wilson – Drums.  Having spent some time with these guys rehearsing recently and they really do “Rock”.  This is not just your average covers band.  The set list is well chosen and not the obvious or easier songs often selected by bands with less experience.  Listening to these guys flawlessly re-creating songs from the likes of Queens of The Stone Age, System of a Down, Extreme and Aerosmith you can really appreciate their experience, musicianship, personality and love of music.

Who are AudioTrash?

Jay Pearce – Lead Guitar. Started to play guitar at 15, initially influenced by Mark Knopfler, and latterly by players such as Steve Vai, Jake E. Lee, Dimebag and Paul Gilbert to name just a few.  Jay has played with various bands around Lincolnshire, including Glass Onion, nailmetoatrain, StillDrive and The Wreckset.  After the demise of The Wreckset in early 2007, he took almost 18 months off playing guitar before taking it up again in late 2008 to join up with Jon and Mike and get back to why they started playing in the first place…”Because it’s fun!”

Jon Hill – Bass Guitar.  Jon will play in ANY band that will have him, “As long as it isn’t flowery pop nonsense”.   Likes… Jack Daniel’s, Eve-online, wind farms, converse boots.   Dislikes… Television, newspapers and other forms of mass mind control :-)

Mike Wilson – Drums and General Loudness.   First started playing percussion about 20 years ago and has been playing drums in bands for 15 years.  Mike has covered a multitude of genres including rock, folk, country, blues and “a very drunken attempt at Jazz”.  He has previously played in Peerless with Jay and in Glass Onion with Jon and Jay and also featured on recordings by Winter Wilson and The Band from County Hell in the past.  Influences include John Bonham, Keith Moon and John Donnelly.
