Elementary flying training is undertaken in two ways. Firstly the tutor used by UASs as discussed above, and secondly by the Joint Elementary Flying Training School (JEFTS) using the Firefly.

Recognition features

• Side by side two seat cockpit
• Single prop
• Wings at right angle to body of aircraft
• Tricycle feet arrangement with nose wheel, wheels do not have the covers that the Tutor wheels display
• More elongated than the Tutor
