On Sunday 13th November 28 Air Cadets and three officers from 153 (Slough) Squadron Air Training Corps took part in a remembrance parade in the centre of Slough.
The parade set off from the centre of Slough, adjacent to the cinema. From there it proceeded to St. Mary's church where a short service, incorporating a minute's silence, was held. After the service wreaths were laid by a number of organisations and individuals, including the Air Training Corps, the Sea Cadet Corps, the Mayor of Slough, Fiona McTaggart MP and the British Legion. The parade then marched past the Mayor and councillors and returned to where it had started.
The parade was not only in memory of those who died in the World Wars but also those who have died in every conflict. |
