The Nimrod is the RAF's main maritime patrol aircraft and therefore takes on roles as diverse as search and rescue and
submarine hunting. This means that the nimrod can carry a variety of things in its bomb bay including bombs, mines, conorbouys,
torpedos and air to surface missiles. it can also carry sidewinder air to air misssiles and depth charges. The Nimrod has a conspicious refuelling probe
at the front of the aircraft. The Nimrod MR2 will be replaced in the future by the Nimrod MR4
