Welcome to the Aberdeenshire Slow Food Convivium website

A SLOW START TO 2005!

Images from 2004 events!

At long last the 'SLOW' team have finally emerged from hybernation! 2004 was a busy time for a small band of volunteers, both personally & 'slowly'. We ran only a handful of events buit all were well recieved sell-outs from the sticky fingered bread day, to local sausages & tatties & of course, the ever popular harvest supper.
Val & Calum Buchanan had us all helping out at the Highland & Moray Convivium's stall at the Fresh Food Funday in Nairn (as part of The Highland Feast Festival). This was good preperation for all the Convivia to start pulling together towards the relaunch of a new constituted Slow Food UK complete with a new chair in 2005.

With the new moves in 2005 in mind, our team hope to increase our profile, increase the membership of the International movement through Aberdeenshire & get a few more people on board to host events & help out our programme!

As a start to 2005, we will be holding the first event on SATURDAY 19 MARCH 2005 at Birse Community Hall near Aboyne
