Daddy Rings

Daddy Rings - The Most High -

Another one from the Reggae X Files. Daddy Rings comes forward around 1994 with an album produced by Gussie Clarke. Its a deejay set in the style of Briggy - its released initially in Germany, then about a year later Greensleeves release it. People who heard it loved it - Gussie Clarke - produced the debut albums of Big Youth and I.Roy - so he knows what works and what doesn't. All looked very promising. But around that time Gussie pulls out of the production side of the business - and Daddy Rings just disappears. About ten years later he pops up again it seems in Germany. Now we have this set - 'The Most High' where we find Daddy Rings in a more or less totally singing style. He's a great voice and he can write great lyrics. Hopefully we won't have to wait so long for his nexe set!!!
