Prince Far I - Silver & Gold - Blood and Fire CD
Most reggae fans know Far I from the days of Front Line - but like all the artists on that label - it what was going on before that got them signed to the label. Cry Tuff was Prince Far I's label, but he also recorded for other producers, and this set brings those productions altogether for the first time. And what a set, the opening track is incredible. The Slickers 'Johnny Too Bad' was always a hard tune, never even knew there a DJ version of it and would never have guessed that it was Prince Far I. And that's how this set is, full of surprises. Cuts of this rhythm and that rhythms. 'No More War' is here. and the version. And as always with Blood and Fire you get great artwork and sleevenotes. Truly excellent.
